In 2022, South Padre reports slightly less visitors than 2021

Tom Goodman, a member of the Convention & Visitors Bureau advisory board and the president of the freshly established Vacation Rental Managers Association, was the morning's featured speaker.
Tom started off by pointing out that the Hotel Occupancy Tax, which measures the Island's revenues, is up 9–10% so far this year compared to the same time last year. This is true even though the number of actual rentals is a little lower than it was last year.
